weird window problem

all my factory windows have had to be replaced due to non-workin condition and no a/c. my driver side was replaced by a car shop which did a crappy job. so the other day i pull up into school and hear my window sounding like the crank or whatever is skippin holes. i know the motor is working but it sounds like its not "catchin" on to somethin. i can feel it through my door panel and i dont know what it is since i dont really know how to take the door panel off. i guess any help on takin the door off, or helpin with the actually problem would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

To take the door off, you need to take the 2 screws in the sale panel off, pull it off, take the 3 screws on the bottom side of the door panel out, take the torx screw out behind the black peice of the door lock, pull that black peice out, pull the lock/window switch trim piece out, and then pull out the trim behind the door handle, there will be a bolt behind there somewhere that you need to take out. Then just pry the door panel off.
