Mah Trunk Rattles!!

My 1995 GT Grand Am Sedan has a 800 watt RMS alpine mono amp running to 2 12" Image Dynamic Quality subs. There is an enormus amout of trunk rattle when the trunk lid is closed but when it is up the subs sound perfect. I have put expanding foam in the lid and below the locking mechanism but that doesn't help and I have also Dynamatted the top of the lid. Please Help me!!

put another lay or two of dynomat on your lid it should help some

if you layer your dynamat the trunk is going to be really heavy, rattling comes from vibrating metal hitting other metal, get some foam strips or anything that can stick between whatever metal is rattling, make take some time to pin point it

i have the same problem in my 99, but ive yet to check where there is metal to metal contact.

dynamat helps reduce it, but it wont stop the vibration, so your rattle will still be there
