NEED SWI-X Help

Ok here is the problem. i got a new SWI-X cable from 00gase. Well i go to hook it up and the instuctions are all wrong so i start doing test of my own. i found out which wire i need its the green one like prong 7 or 8. I know its the right one cus i hooked up the factory HU up and the steering wheel controls worked then i cut the wire and they stoped working then touched the wires and theu worked agian. so that is the right wire. then u have to find a power and ground easy. On the SWI-X cable u only have to hook up the power the ground and the green wire to the wire that comes from the steering wheel. so i got every thing hook up. i set the cable for the right program and reset all codes and then it tells me to push the volume up button on the steering wheel so i push it and nothing. all wires have good conetions. i even went and had a buddy at the audio store trade it out for me and still nothing so i dont know does anyone know what is up?

Did you follow the programming directions right?? Was kind of tricky iirc

I did what the instuctions said.. Hold down the mode button turn on the car. both lights come one let go of the mode button. press the mode button once for program one and wait till it blinks. then turn the car of then turn it back on the right button should blink once for program one. then hold the mode button for about 7 sec or untill both lights go out. then let off the cable is cleared. then it is ready to program press vol up and i get nothing
