Has anyone ever disabled this system ? I really don't like them because they grind it feels like , especially when it is wet out and the system kicks in. It doesn't do it all the time , just when the system kicks in. But it feels like you have no brakes and the pads are wore out to the metal. You can feel it in the pedal as well as hear it.So I just wanted to find out if anyone has ever disabled the system and if they had any problems with Check Engine lights or anything from disableing it.

Youd have to check the owners manual,or even buy a Hayne's manual to find the main source and I would have to assume the check engine light would stay on or the ABS light would stay lit til the bulb burns out.Mine seems to kick in a lot in the winter, even when its not that slick out,id barely tap the brakes and youd feel a grinding(actually you hear it) and it feels like you have no control, its a weird feeling if you didn't know what it was.Id say keep it on,its getting warmer out and the ABS doesn't kick in much during the rain, its not like the ETS system which some people think is useless but the ABS is much more useful.

start tampering with that stuff and your in fore it why not keep it on? then when you need it it wont be there and you will end up skidding out of controle.
