The word around the campfire is that you will soon be producing headers, is this ture?
Yes, the computer models are already done. We are going to manufacture the protoype first, then perform extensive dyno tests. If you are tired of ugly, and puny headers for the 2.4L LD9 then you'll be gald to know that all ID headers will be constructed only from 304/321high grade Stainless Steel. Each header will have a 1/2" thick mounting flange and will receive the new 2000-degree RLD coating.

From IDD.
The header project has been put on hold and will not be continued until we
have seen more interest from our customers.
We will be working on an affordable stainless turbo kit for the 2.4L engine,
and should have some more info soon.
The reason we are postponing the exhaust project is due to the fact that we
made a similar mistake with the 2.4L Intake Manifold which we developed
first, only to find out that there was no interest in the GM 2.4L
communities.
Since they were so expensive to produce one by one, we were hoping to get
the production under way with a Group Purchase of 9 manifolds, but not a
single person came forward. This may have been due to the fact that the
Group Purchase price was also high (approx $1200US), but that is the cost of
manufacturing, so there is little we can do about it.
The horsepower figures and dyno sheets will hopefully be taken care of when
the company in charge of our website, releases a new version of the ID
website.

I was one of those people that was really excited about the manifold, but once i found out it was 1200 bucks, i said forget that and just got an HO mani.
I think if ID can put together a header that is no more then say 400 bucks maybe 500 at the most (but that seems a little pricy for a header) then i would buy one (granted not for awhile since im working on other things on my car first) but if they could offer a header (asbacaly for the 96-98 nbodies and sell it at a reasonalbe price they would sell like hot cakes.

Pacesetter has a set of headers for the 99+ 2.4L. Spy test fit them on his car and has them installed right now. Needless to say- they fit funny, rattle, and he hasn't seen any gains, considering I just kicked his ass at the track the other nite when I shouldn't have.

Okay guy's I just emailed my inside guy at ID, to see what ID might have coming up for us. I also meantion to him that no make a header for the 96 to 98(I hope that the right years) N-body, and that there is a lot of interest for a header. When I hear something I'll pass it along. By the way the group buy for the Id CAI will problably be done on June 18

last i heard he removed it for a turbo kit and gave/sold it to some one else but hey i could be wrong... he never said anything about poor fitment and i know that i have noticed gains with mine and they are basicaly the same thing (02 sensor in a diffrent spot) i also haven't had any problems with it hitting anything and ive put over 5000 miles on it already... everything works like the day they installed it

lol, the RSM intake is just ported to fit a larger TB. its not really ported to flow more air (maybe a little over stock, but not much, you could do the same for less with a dremal)

i understand that. i have their intake on my car now w/ TB. but to go spend $1200 dollars on a intake? it better flow like 100% mor air or something and be made of gold for me to get it.
