i just bought some new audiobahn 6"x9"s for my 99 grandam. i am havin some trouble gettin them to fit into the stock holes in the rear. the magnet is just to big and the window seems to slant to much. is there any suggestions besides cuttin the hole. i may have to build a new box if i cant find another option. any suggestions r appretiated even if they involve me movin the speakers. i do plan on installin an amp to this setup soon.

i was sittin at work today and i was wondering if putting them under my front seat or buildin a box for them and putting them right behind my back seat which is folded down would work. and also if i would face them down into somethin would the work like subs do.

firing them downward would be like putting a blanket on them......just going to muffle them.

putting them under front seat would do the same.

putting them in a box behind the back seat would work....but not the best idea in the world. soon as you close the back seat you lose your tunes

there r mounting flanges in the factory spots so they dont go up from underneth. i also dont like factory setups. i want somethin unique and my own, something to be proud of. on that note if any one knows any thing about working with fiberglass or knows where i can learn about it that will help me alot now.

best way to learn is do some by yourself. that's the best learning experience you can get. so get you some fiberglass and just start playing with it. :)

I'm having the exact same problem. I purchased a set of Infinity Kappa 693.5i 6x9 3 ways and they just will not fit in the factory location. I am in the process right now of installing them in the arm rests next to the rear seats like you planned to. I have already started the fiberglassing and everything. This is my first real fiberglass project so who knows how it'll turn out. I'm also concerned about how they will sound in the new placement. I'll keep you posted.
