I was wondering what aftermarket transmissions are available for the 3400 v6 grand am, i've shopped around and they seem to be hard to find, the only after market tranny that i have found was running for 2400 which is too much. any sites would be greatly appreciated

A new tranny costs around 2400...so paying that much for a good aftermarket one isn't too bad...

Okay, thanks, do they hold up well? The only reason why i didn't want to spend so much money is because im was trying to use the extra money for some nitrous, but i guess the good ol' NO2 has to wait :(

what about swapping in a rebuilt and built up 4T65-E? They use them in GP's and bonny's and are said to be excellent when built up a bit.

If you get it, I highly suggest the LSD as an option.

that thing is friggin bad!!!! I think ive found my next mod other than exhaust and rims! Wow....umm whats an ss torque converter? and whats "TRUE Preloaded Limited Slip"....should i add those for the 1000 onto the original price or is it not neccessary? Also...do i need to remap my computer for the tranny or jus unplug the neg terminal method?
