Might as well bring this over to this meet as wel :) It's always a fun time.
Whoever wants to participate (that is 21+, of course), bring a small variety of beer that is local to your region of the world (typically 6-12). Please, something that is not available nationally, if possible. Saturday evening, at some point where we won't be driving any more after the track.. We'll all share what we brought, and hope that the canadian's don't put all our beer to shame like usual :)
I'll bring a small sampling of Yuengling beer and Victory beer (local microbrew, that's real good and typically real alcoholic www.victorybeer.com )
So post up if you want to participate, and what you are bringing.. so we don't duplicate any.
1. Seth - Yuengling & Victory
2. Tom - Great Lakes Brewery - Dortmunder Gold, The Holy Moses
3. Shawn - Labatt Blue & Kokanee
4. Ben - French Canadian
5. John - Utica Club
6. Jason - REAL Molson Canadian
7. Kelly - ???? Canadian
8. Ben - La Fin du Monde, Eau Bénite, Maudite, Trois-Pistoles

Shawn, seeing that canada gave us XXX, theres gotta be something up there now stronger than that.
sunrunner_pei

Stronger beer? I can look, but I don't use the alcohol content as a determining factor when buying beer. 5% keeps me happy.

Forgive me for being old and senile, but can't you buy Black Label in the states?? I haven't really looked to see if we can still get it, but I do remember when I was 18, Black Label was rated right up there with Blatz and P.O.C. (Pride of Cleveland). Kind of the "Mad Dog" of beers.
I do know that Molson's brews it, but there was also a brewery here in Cleveland.

What's the crime for buying beer, transporting across international and state lines, and giving to a minor.. lol

Old Guy

Well, you can transport it but the fine for giving it to a minor is probably pretty hefty, epecially if you're a Canadian.
I sure wouldn't do it!! I think someone may have to wait until next year.
I can see it now.......Kelly and Shawn calling me from the slammer.

Goot stuff on the Canadian, Jason. I've got 2 12-packs ready to go. One of Labatt Blue, another of Kokanee. Any Canadians have a hard time at the border last year?
Gimli
06-10-2004, 11:28 AM
Nope, didn't get any problem at the border last year with the two 12 packs.
This year I'm bringing four 6-packs:
La Fin du Monde (End of the World) - Triple fermentation Golden Ale, refermented in the bottle - 9%
Eau Bénite (Holy Water) - Golden Ale, Triple style refermented in the bottle - 7.7%
Maudite (The Damned One) - Strong Red Ale, refermented in the bottle - 8%
Trois-Pistoles - Strong Dark Ale, refemented in the bottle - 9%
Premium beer drinkers will have a field trip. Nothing too light for you Tom? :D
