The Auto Lock?

What do U think of the Auto lock??....I think its a pretty good way to make a person tryin to steal your car turn away. I Think it is very usefull cuz U can't put the car into Drive without pushing on the brake so....I just wanted to know what other people thought of it and if some people have it

what do you mean by auto lock?? you mean when the doors automatically lock from the factory? or do you have an alarm that does it also? my mom's car locked the car when you put it in gear from the factory, and then her alarm added the feature that they lock when you start the car. if the factory is what you're referring to, then i agree. it's a wonderful feature in my opinion.


although some of us have our own theft protection :D

no...I am talking about the Auto Lock that can be put on your brake pedal so you can't put your car into drive without the key to get the Auto lock off.....its kinda like the Club that you put on your steering wheel but instead its goes on your brakes.

I've seen that....it looks like a good idea...but I haven't tried it.

yeah I have it in my car and its great...cuz I tried to move my car from park to drive and I couldn't even push the pedal down. I Think its worth getting....the only down side is that it is a hassle to put it on and making sure that its on right cuz sometimes you can still push the brake pedal down..so be sure

yeah, several GM vehicles have that from the factory. it's been so long since i drove my girlfriends grand am i couldn't even tell you if it's that way or not, but im going to assume it's not since you have the same year model and you're talking about installing it :P

i know a guy that had his remote start set to that. if the key wasn't in the ignition and you mashed the brake, to change gears, the car would die. excellent theft deterrent if you ask me.

i just got my new alarm put on today and it has the same feature i was talking about. you use the remote start and if you mash the gas OR brake pedal without the key in the ignition the truck dies. and if you arm it, get out, and they still open the door the truck will die as soon as the door is open and the siren will start going off.

sounds like a pretty damn nice thing.....Anyone know how much the thing goes for? Not the alarm system,the AutoLock.

I bought mine for $50 I think...U can check it out on my webpage..I have a pic of it on my brake pedal...I think its very usefull...makes me feel safer leavin my car
