I was wondering if someone could help me out with this problem.
My rear defrost has stopped working. The reason being is that the metal piece that touches the other metal piece on the window has came unwelded or unglued. Can I just glue that back on out is there something else I need to do?
thanks

... I would imagine you'd have to solder it on but there may be some 'glue' that would suffice ... you should talk to Dave (car audio dave) as I believe he had the exact same problem and repaired it himself ... another thought (if you wanted to pay for the work) would be to talk to a 'autoglass place' as they should be able to fix it for you quite quickly :)
well you can go down to auto zone or whatever and get a kit to resolder them together. I dont know how much it is, but i have seen them before.

if your car is still under warranty i would go back to where i got that car and have them fix it for free. but if it isnt i guess talk to dave as 99grandamse said or do what Goon was talkin about

sometimes a high temp type solder is used to solder the connection sometimes conductive cement is used you should be able to get either from autozone... you got to remember the thing genrates heat and if .... and i mean iiiifffff it is hot enough to melt solder it might be wise to use the conductive cement anyway .... the conductive cement is more like an epoxy ..... anyway this is my :penny:
