i am new here and had just recently bought a 99 GA GT and i have a question about all this performance air filter stuff. i have heard both sides of the issue on which filter to buy between green and k&n, but what i really want to know is there any way that you can get more performance from either of these air filters w/ the ram air by blocking off the side duct in the inner fender and running the ram air only. is this possible? if any one could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.::???:

The " side duct " is connected to a resonator in the wheel well . It does nothing but silence the intake noise . The RAM AIR is very restrictive anyway , look at the size of the duct going into the airbox . If you want power get rid of the airbox and install a CAI . :D

:agree: And best thing is,you can make the CAI by yourself for I do believe under 120 or if not under 100

cai was also an idea i had on the back burner but the more i think about it, it seems more and more logical, but what would be one of my best bets for a cai, like brand wise?
