DIN For My Bezel

I have been trying to find out if a bezel from a '01 Grand Am SE will fit into my '00 Grand Am SE. I have read that some say it will and some say it won't. I am not worried about the opening because theis bezel I am looking at has a screen so I am going to relocate the deck anyways. The problem I heard with the bezel is that the HVAC controls are lower or something like that from the 99-01 and the 02+.
