the swaybar @ aas is by ractive very cheap and mostly for style... it wont do much for the performance... unless you go with both front and rear strut bars (stb), new springs or coilovers, struts and shocks, and new aftermarket larger swaybars.... basically that is the lowest quality stb i can figure.. i dont have one.. but ppl. have stated that, that one is cheap and useless.....oh AND WELCOME TO GAOC!!

Not true. A stiff piece of metal is a stiff piece of metal. Also, a Strut Tower Brace is not the same thing as a sway bar.

Although I agree that a front STB will benefit a car with modified suspension more than stock, it is a useful mod.

The ractive front STB had a very noticable effect, especially during heavy cornering... tho my car does not have the stock suspension. On a stock GA, I cannot see it doing much considering the amount of body lean the stock suspension has... since the only purpose of the STB is to hold the geometry while cornering.

Also, the rear suspension is not independent (until 99)... therefore shock tower braces don't really do much.

The reason why the STB might be cheaper is because it's shared between Cavaliers, Sunfires and Grand Ams. Wider market = more production = lower prices.

My new STB made a noticeable improvement in handling and I have stock suspension so far. It's not a night/day difference but a difference worth mentioning. I splurged on the expensive Freedom Design STB since few other people will have it. ;) It looks a little more solid than a typical aluminum pipe too.
