what exactly is it made out of?? the reason i ask is that im wondering if id be able to get some cotton or something from a fabric store and if it would work the same way?? also how much should i add?? like per cubic ft.??

look for pillow stuffing. good rule of thumb is to fill the box about half way...loosely fill it half way
