Hopefully this isn't a re-post, but I read a post awhile back where someone referred to Eagle 077's as "entry level" wheels. Those words alone scare me, but since these are the best looking wheels I've seen, I was wondering if anyone knew who else might make one that looks the same.
Unless, of course, these will hold up as good as anything. Also, I had the debate of chrome vs. polished for a black car. I prefer chrome. :D

my Wheelmax in house brand are "entry level" wheels...though they copied the Racing Hart C5's to a tee. Eagles are juuuuust fine.

Entry level may have been the price and that they're a cast wheel as opposed to forged. Cast is fine just heavier, that's all, there is abosolutly nothing wrong with Eagle wheels. In fact, they're one of the few manufacturers that make our weird bolt pattern 5 x 115.
Chrome versus polished? Chrome all the way, more expensive but it looks way better, easier to keep shiny and more durable than the polished wheel.
Eagle Alloys a fine, if you like 'em then go for it!

I've used the term "entry-level" before and I was mostly just referring to the cost. They're only $150 per wheel compared to higher-end rims like AMG, which can run up near $600 a wheel.
I have never used a high-end rim, but there's got to be a good reason they cost so much more. I have never had structural problems with my Eagle Alloy 077s (18x8 in polished aluminum).
I HIGHLY recommend buying the chrome 077s if you're really worried about appearances. The polished aluminums are a b*tch to keep clean and shiny.
I used to spend about an hour or so every two weeks just buffing and rubbing with Mother's Mag polish to restore the luster. I finally gave up and decided that I'm going to powdercoat them black in the next few months.

Thanks for all the info! Now all I have to do is get them. Money is usually pretty tight, but since the woman started working things should come around. Like someone's username caption said, "so many mods, so little money!"
Edit- Duh, it was rollbonez'. It was right above my reply!

NorthEast, I like to consider myself the grandaddy of the Eagle 077 Grand AM craze because I was the first to put the 18" polished 077's from the Hot Wheels car on a GA (This was back in Feb 2002). With that said I have been through all the trials and tribulations with this wheels availability and its fitment on the GA. From the 5x114.3 bolt pattern and vibration, to losing lug nuts and finally getting hub rings and lugs that do the trick. I have countless threads on the other site answering all questions related to this wheel (to the point I won't answer them anymore there). With that said the Eagle 077 is a classic, sturdy wheel that will do the job for any daily driver. It's a solid cast wheel that seems to be very strong. I've hit countless holes by mistake and have yet to come close to bending the rims. The polished version are a bit more of a pain to take care of but I think it is worth the cheaper price. Is this wheel as good a wheel as my Advan's on my RX7? Hell no! But they cost 1/4 the price per wheel and are on my daily driver. Weight is average at 23lbs and it's a simple design that flows well.
In fact, I have decided to part with mine now. They are for sale and I currently have someone ready to snatch them up. It'll be sad to see them go but it is time for me to stay stock and move on. I have nothing but good things to say about this $150/per wheel :)
