car cd player thoughts

I am thinking about buying the JVC KD-SX980 Reciever for my car. Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on if this is a good buy?

I know a kid that's had it for about a year now... He said it's ok and it hasn't given him any problems. As always, I'd recommend an Alpine deck over all others, but that's just me!

JVC's are nice decks. I like JVC's over any other brand.

I've had a JVC and an Alpine in my GA, I'll tell you the alpine was quite abit more money, but still the bottom of the line deck, but it still was a much better HU

JVC is a middle of the road deck IMO. there's better available.......but also a LOT worse available. just boils down to personal opinion
