I would suggest google-ing for fiberglass and composite how-to's to see if it is something you wanna get into.
There is a ton of labor involved. Making the mold (even a rough one) will not be a picnic either.

I think a good way of making a mold(for the common folk,us) would be a wire frame then line it with that foam stuff, then lay the fiberglass then you have the mold(basically you have to use your stock bumpers and mold pieces onto it,its not an easy task, can't say if it would be cheaper or not then buying one, could be less, but all the work might not be worth it unless you have fun doing this type of stuff, nice project but maybe be frustrating....But do suggest Google for tips or what not on how about doing this, good luck:)

I have tried looking on google I guess I am googleilletrate, but I figured there was hardly any body kits for the grand am at all especially for my year why not make one. I am hoping my making it this will also be cheaper then buying a kit already out there. Thanks for the comments too.

if your planning on "making" a bodykit, I would just get the pieces from a salvage and modify them to my liking, because makign everything fit on a brand new piece is going to be a PITA, and you don't seem to have the experience to do it, not saying you can't just trying to give you a an easier alternative, and btw Andysautosport.com has a kit for your car I believe

Lots of fiberglass, sanding, patience and knowledge in automotive body work. You have neither of those so dont waste your time.....

let this be a lesson to you all... if you drive a hooptie and throw eggs at a camaro, chances are you are going to end up with a nice kit like this one and a website designed to publicaly humiliate you... paybacks are a b!tch
