Question about amp hookup

I have a 94 grand am se 3.1 and i assume this applies to all models well at least v6 models.. I was wondering i was looking all over the firewall looking for a rubber grommet to pass my power wire through... since im trying to avoid drilling... I felt a rubber grommet by the rack... and by the power steering hose... but im going with 4 guage wire and im not too sure if it will fit...

I will be installing the system next week... so any tips would be great thx.

hmmm... never worked on a 94, but there should be a place where the wiring harness goes through, or at least there was on my 97

All i could see was on the passenger side.. which is not the battery side.. right in the top corner.. by the window.. on the firewall that is... there is a huge bunch of wires going into the firewall.. all with a huge connector.. and on the driver side opposite .. top of the engine compartment.. closest to the window... there is another huge pile of wires going through the firewall.. but its all sealed up... i have no idea what u mean by wiring harness... u referring to the stereo itself?

just be real careful and slit that sealant around the big group of wires. and when you get the wire where you want it it wouldn't hurt to put some silicone around it to seal it back up

hmmm... the hole in mine was on the driver side its up near the top of the firewall
