Hey guys, got a problem with my new 6x9 infinitys that i got. Took out the rear stock 6x9s and found out that they have two pairs of wires, one for the woofer, and one for the highs. problem is, the infinitys only have an outlet for one positive and one negative............

i cannot seem to find a wiring harness which will convert the four wires into two, so I was told that I need to find the wires before the crossover right before they split the signal from two wires to four. I followed the wiring from the speakers back up and the four wires continue all the way up what looks like the rear passenger side "C" pillar, so I need to continue to follow them up....

Until I can find the crossover point, how does the C pillar cover come off so I can find the wires? also, is there another trick I can use to wire them up other than looking for the crossover point?

(I didnt see it get this specific in the faq...but if it indeed in there just put that and I'd be happy to look for it..)

The rear C pillar are connected with snaps just pops right off. It may take alittle force to get it off but should come off with no problems. I'm not sure about the wire question.

i'd say find the point at which the wires split apart and just run a wire from the speaker to that point

the stock 6x9s are bi-amped. The rear headunit outputs are ran into a factory amplifier, the highs/mids are untouched and crossovered at the 6x9 itself. The amp has a low-pass crossover built in and powers only the woofer. The best situation would be hooking up both sets and figuring out which ones are coming straight from the headunit and leaving the other ones alone (I can't recall which connector is what without looking at it). I *think* its the connector to the (right) of the car on both, but don't take my word for it. If the headunit isn't providing the power you want, I suggest getting a 4 channel amp and powering all the speakers (4x6's or whatever you have in the front (could be components) and 6x9s in the rear).

Currently, I have 6.5" Kicker K6.2 components up front, powered by a crossfire CFA-142 @ 70w rms each side. And the factory 6x9's running only the woofer side. It sounds good. Hope that helps.
