Well it was a very long day. I decided to try to put that amp on the back speakers to test it out... well I was doing good ya know. Til the bad all happened. Im like ok distribution block running 4 awg into it and a 8 out of it for my amp.. well that dist. block failed and no power at all went to the amp.

Since that didnt work I ran the 4 awg straight into it... and put the 4 awg on it as the ground also. This time it worked, but for some reason my right speaker was making a weird noise (the 6x9 i didnt hook up to the amp left it factory wired with adapter) anyway... it was making a noise and the other one was making engine noise (the one i had amped)... So my friend was like well turn off your car and we'll take this one off, so we unwired the one speaker from factory, like there was no speaker there at all...

We are like how do we get rid of this sound, go ask my friend he says its a bad ground. Im like ok i'll go try it when i get home. So as of now, everything is hooked up like it was before i even bought this amp... pos to pos, neg to neg. Now that speaker that wasnt amped doesnt even play and the one that does play has that noise still in it.

After work I go hook up the amp to that speaker i tested all day... Made sure the ground on the term. was good, but assumed it was good on the ground to the car, since my other amp was fine with it... Well it still made the noise and that speaker that was never amped still doesnt work.

I truly am scared that this thing will never work and I'm about to just give up! I am hating my car at the moment. THANK GOD I bought the extended warranty from Circuit City on all of this stuff. So if I did something very bad, hopefully it can be replaced easily. Sorry for the long story, but I'm kinda depressed. :(

I'm an installer at a Circuit, what amp did you buy, What kind of 6x9's are you pushing, and where do you have it grounded, what condition are yoru RCA's in? How could the D-block fail, Is it a fused d-block, was the fuse under your hood blown?

As far as installing an amp on 6x9's..... yeah just run your 4 gauge back from the battery, Remote turn on from the deck, ground to the chassis, and run your speaker wires up to the speakers. Then adjust your gains and x-overs propperly and call it a day.

The Amp: http://www.cardomain.com/item/MTX564

The 6x9's: http://www.cardomain.com/item/INFREF9603I

I wired them correctly... 100% sure, because the lil tab is negative and the bigger tab on the speakers is pos. So I know they were wired correclty. No clue what-so-ever on why that one speaker doesnt work, when I didnt even touch it, besides unplug it while the car was off and plug it back on, while the car was off... I believe it was making a wierd noise the whole time.

Since I Don't want to burn out anything, I'm going to buy a fused dist. block and more 4 awg wire so that I can run my subs again. Right now my Dist. Block is just input output... No fuses at all... got it with my sosche? amp kit from walmart.

Tomorrow I am going out and scrapping the hell out of that car to bare the paint off til its shinny... Just so I can make sure its groundable. Its weird, My amp for the sub was at the same ground and it was fine. If your wondering how I'm wiring this stuff.... I took my amp rca's, power, ground, and remote wires... and just hooked them up on the MTX... and then of course I wired up the 1 6x9 into one channel and it was powered correctly...

Most likly that sound is coming from the Ground wire, but I dont know why in the hell that one speaker wont work.... My friend who works at CC that sold me all that stuff said that since I got the extended warranty, I shouldnt have to worry about to much if something is done in with.
