can you machine the 3400's heads for more power? or is it to much trouble?

Look up Blackrider from gagt.com or gmperfomancetuning.com. He's done it and it apparantly makes quite a difference for torque and hp. Although he's forever bound to higher octane fuel.

I had a full P&P done on my heads and manifolds. also I had a valve job and Milling done to up the compression. the upped compression makes for some good low end torque. The head work was good for a few HP But when I get a cam in there, it will just compliment it more :D

DITTO!
I had the same done! works great on the top end...feels like you add another gear to the car...it pulls so much more up top!
i eat on-ramps for breakfast now!

i would say so. my car is a whole different beast now. The higher octane fuel is well worth it.

high octane fuel is a waste of money on a car without timing advances and increased compression!! save your cash!

more like 6800 when i double hit the gas.... when it skip shifts from 3rd to 1st when i floor it double tapping the gas while too high in 3rd...it goes pretty high...
also seems to float a little.....only when i drive like a nut...
no it is the standard burn on pfyc.com

no it is the standard burn on pfyc.com try and not take it up that high, the stock rod bolts are only good for about 6500. I would hate to see you spin a bearing or pop a rod
