I'm going to be replacing the plugs and plug boots on a 2.4 that has about 60K miles and have a couple of questions about the process.

1. Does anyone know what the torque specs are for the 4 IDI cover bolts and the spark plugs themselves?

2. I'm assuming that the new plug boots will also have new springs. Is this correct or do I have to order the springs as well?

Thanks for your help...

Found the answer to the plug torque question from one of the sticky's posted in this section (13 lb-ft). Should've looked there first  Couldn't find anything about the IDI cover.

Can anyone confirm that these are the correct part numbers:

AC platinum plugs: 25164048
AC plug boots: 12132224

i'm sure there is a torque for the IDI, but I've had mine off/on several times. It just bolts down to keep it on top the plugs. Just use your head tighten till they stop then a little more. TRy not to tighten one side then the other, thighten it down level.

You should be fine. Buy antiseeze for the plugs when you put the new ones in, or you might have problems getting them out with out breaking them off the next time.
