Ok, how do I get the Rear deck out of my 03 Grand Am? I read the FAQ on it, but my rear seats do not fold down. Help?

Why do u want the rear deck out. if to only change 6x9s then i just poped that plastic cover off. the front just pops off and the back has plastic pieces that go under the deck and face the back of the car. just pop up the front and then pull to u

If you're Talking about the speaker grills, that won't work on a mid '00 & up. You'll end up breaking the grills & not be able to re-attach them. They are sonic welded onto the rear deck mat from mid '00 & up.

sorry i did not get an email.
Ohh i did not know that i just know i poped off the grills on my car and it was so easy. and then i hear everyone talking about pulling the hole deck and i am like that is just wasting time. well thats cool i hope that no one tried it and broke them.

Heh, hopefully not this time around but I've seen a rash of them happen before when this was discussed - That's why I thought I'd throw that warning out there.:)

Ok to pull the rear deck
1. fold down the seats
2. Pull off back of the sail panels, watch of for the defoger wires
3. And then you will see how to pull it off, its all downlown hill from that

That'd be the appropriet way to do it, but I'm an impatient ba$tard. (Can I say that as long as I'm insulting myself???)
Anyways, if you're real carefull about it & the car is at a warm temp inside & out you can take out the plastic push pins & get one hand under the middle & bow it up a bit in the center enough to draw the dash mat out from under the sail panel trim panels. Reinstall the same way, of course. Not saying this is the best way. It worked for me just fine, & the only reason I risked it a little, well,.. as I said above/ I'm an impatient *******:D

JoeyK... I have a question, and I can't seem to contact you directly (no PM for some reason). Anyway, searching for interior stuff, I found a pic you posted and wondered something.

I was wondering if this was silver vinyl for the door inlays, and if it is, where did you get it? If not, what is it?
