Is that Alpine HU out now? I saw one in Circuit City that looked like that, but didn't have the kick ass display on it. I'm also looking to upgrade my 7894 here soon before my extended service plan runs out.

that sub looks like its made to support 600 pounds not 600 watts haha

the 9833 has the same styling but not the biolite display

and for the sub comment, have you heard these subs yet? these things kick some major ass

well, i might not get the headunit now, i have an alpine xm tuner which works with my 7894, but since delphi bought out everything dealing with XM, you now have to buy a universal module and the "blitz" kit to connect it with your alpine, sony, or pioneer HU, this is cool if you are just getting into xm business, but i don't wanna spend $500 on new equipment plus the headunit

About poundage on subs, those Pioneer TS-5000SPL's weigh in about 69 pounds a piece and can handle 2000 Watts rms and 5000 Max

the team rf subs are around that range

the solo x is insane, theres no need to put that much power into one speaker

and besides, the rockford team rf's hold the spl world record right now at 174.4db

I'm not even looking into getting XM anytime in the near future. But, I really do need a new HU. That 9835 looks seriously bad ass. I'm gonna stop by Circuit City today and check out what they have going on and if they'll have that in anytime soon.

yeah, i saw the rockford van saturday, the one with 10-15s. that thing is insanely loud. we held the competition across the street from a fast food place. the guy driving the van cranked up the system for a few minutes and the fast food place actually called the audio place and told them to turn it down. they couldn't hear to take orders in drive thru over the system. it was hilarious. the cops showed up a couple times asking all of us to keep our systems down. we were like, it's a stereo COMPETITION.......how the hell you gonna compete if you keep the noise levels down??? but the cop was cool about it, he stuck around for a few minutes and was looking at the cars and stuff.
