dealer said they could replace my gasket for $1100, or if its cracked, $3000...a few questions because i know nothing about engines:

1) When you replace a engine, do you need to replace any other parts?
2) What kind of motor will fit in my 95 G.A?
3) Would you suggest buying a rebuilt motor or new one, i have heard that 95 GA's have a head gasket problem, but is it only in stock motors or rebuilt motors as well??
4) anyone know any good sites where i can find one?

Probley the LIM gasket...but anyways.

1- All depends when you do a motor swap. Could be from nothing to everything.
2- A 3100, 3400, or with some modifications, a 3800.
3- Used motor is the best way to go. With low milage of course. 3x00 have a LIM gasket problem, not a head gasket problem.
4- Local junkyards.
