One of my 2 Pioneer 12's is cracked, so I've decided to pick up another set of 12's, I just haven't decided on what kind they will be. I'm currently running a 2 channel MTX amp with about 212watts rms per side so I want the subs to be around 200-300rms. My old pioneers were 800 max and 200rms and they sounded awesome so I want something around the same. I've looked at the new Rockfords, MTX, and Pioneer's and they all look good but not too sure with which ones I should go with. Any ideas?

I'd look at Crossfire or Alpine Type E's or S's... I'm sporting the E's right now, and pushing about 240 to each sub, and I love the sound of them. Not as much as I loved my R's, but still, they sound really nice.

with wattages that low the alpines would do you fine. as would most subs. just so long as you're not entering all the competitions around and constantly have it blasting most of the subs will work fine. :) dont forget about some kicker comp vr's. they're not a bad speaker

Ya, no competitions for this system. I just want my system to have good sound quality, and at the moment that's what I have, I mean had...

While we're on the subject are there any 12 in. subs on the market that I could push 425 watts to a piece RMS, that are better than Infinity Kappa Perfects?? All opinions are welcome.

oh yeah, rockford p3 and T1, kicker solo barics, jl w6's, and you can give type r's 500rms with out any worry, they say rms at 350w but thats a little underrated

and you said opinion so to a few of you guys no rockford bashing
