Ok guys, heres my setup

amp
2 6x9 after market 3 way speakers
2 subs
and an after market head unit

would tweeters make it sound better, and if they would, what do they do?

If you're rocking with subs, tweeters really won't matter that much. It'll help with the highs, but if you have subs, you're probably not looking for that anway.

I love the sound of tweeters but it just really depends on what you like to listen to and how you want it to sound.

since I put new tweeters in I have noticed that they are alot cleaner sounding and you can crank up the volume and there isnt any distortion still sounds clear..unlike stock tweeters.. I have everything new in my system except the factory 6x9's and everything sounds great... I got the highs I wanted as well as the bass I wanted...

so tweeters make the sound come in more clear, cuz i notice on sum songs when i turn my cd playae up to like volume 26 it starts to get a lil distorted and it can go all the way up to 40, so does that mean that i should get new speakres or get some tweeters

Tweeters are goingto be reproducing the high frequencies of your music, and with crossovers, they can help clean up the sound quality of your system.

yes with crossovers and even adding an amp to push them it will make the sounds clearer...

crossovers themselves make a world of a difference. you'll notice the high frequencies more if you install some tweeters. it'll make the music sound a little more clear

i have my speakers hooked up to my amp, cuz i only have my 2 rear speakers hooked up and thats to my amp, also my subs are run through my amp, what does a cross over exactly do? can i put one in my car with my set up, and how much do they cost about please??

crossovers keep certain frequencies from going to where they don't need to go. i.e. a crossover will keep high frequencies from going to the subs and low frequencies from going to the tweeters. if you have the rear speakers and the sub hooked up to the same amp then you really won't be able to use a crossover. you really shouldn't even be using the amp to power the rears and sub....it's possible, but you'd get cleaner sound of if you used a dedicated amps to power the sub and rear speakers seperate.

you can get bass blockers for your cabin speakers for like $10....they do their job. if you want to get real good stuff get a external electronic crossover. you can get the for as cheap as like $40 and they can go up to a few hundred dollars
