how to take grill of 6 by 9's??????

how to u take of the grill that is coverin the 6 by 9's? casue i want to take the grill off and paint em both...but i duna how to take em off........some one plz help

probably just clip in....take a flathead screwdriver and start prying up gently. if they start coming you know that's how they come....if they dont move then dont force them. :) and that's jsut a guess on how they come out

and don't try the screwdriver please (although not a bad idea if you didn't know how to take them off)

Be aware. Not all of them were clipped into place. I believe they switched over sometime mid year '00 to "sonic welding" which is a bunch of little plastic studs on the back of the grill that protrude through the carpeted cover then they are melted into a mushroom like head to hold them on.
