I duno if the gm supercharger kit is out, but if you want a cool swap idea.
2.0 top end from a Saturn ION Red Line or Saab 93. (the head is supposedly more durable and some other things I do'nt know about)
turbo manifold and turbo from the Saab 93.
some of the goodies from the gm supercharger kit, reflash, injectors, sensors....
add a pretty front mount intercooler, blow off valve from a 1g DSM, and you'd have a pretty fun lil setup.
Has anybody thought of this?
if you want to do it on the cheap the Saab 93 turbo manifold bolts up. the 2.0T model ***NOT the 2.0t*** uses a mitsubishi turbo which brings on a lot of possibilities of bolt on turbo's from the mitsubishi camp. Since the Garrett one used in the 2.0t uses a weird bolt pattern that prevents you from bolting on an off the shelf turbo w/o some fabrication on the manifold end.
