4" clear red led 96-98 tails done, blackout as lens, blue 3157s, ect..

ok, so i made these for my buddy, took a 96-98 tail, cut the color out of the lens, cut a hole in the outer 3157 space and made the 4" fit in there, the inner 3157 is now hard wired on a toggle switch w/ blue 3157 led's, the blinker is in the same spot w/ red 3157 led, and the 194 has a red inverted led in it... so thats the how-to, so dont ask for one.. he he...

so he basicly looks exactly like me now, same exhaust, led tails, 3157 blue led pimp lights, tinted lens...

Those look sweet. Those are blackout covers on top right? Did you seal the cover to the housing of the tail light or did you just leave it so the cover will still pop on and off?

sealed up w/ caulk, didnt want dust and or water getting in there...

On a side note. I was checking out your old GA on cardomain and was wondering what you used for lighting up the side markers? did you just wire up a bulb in a holder or led?

that was a tricky deal, i had to cut the back off of the reflectors, then i put 194 sockets and bulbs behind them to light them up.. it was tricky... alot of dremel work...

Yeah, I like doing stuff like that though so it's all good. Gotta love using a dremel!!! I was thinking about making some custom clear reflectors anywas so that would eliminate cutting the backs off. Should be an interesting project. :D

why im asking is b/c my 3157 red LED's look MUCH smaller than the ones you have installed

ALSO....my rear lights have a FLAT terminal...not round.

What types do these have? It does not say on the website.

ok, the red 3157s in there are only for the blinker, and its in the original blinker spot... the big clear red 4" led round thing is from that website, and is hardwired in w/ things called t-taps, there are 3 wires that come out of the 4" led cluster that ya strip back and put a male spade connector on, then plug that into the t-tap that you crimp onto the factory wires (this makes it so you dont have to cut your factory wires)
