Anyone ever get a rattling from their front end after long-term use of the Next Level STBs for 99-04 GAGTs (from PFYC.com)?
I had this irritating rattle from my engine bay that I thought was coming from the shock tower or wheel well area. It happened at low speeds (-25mph) and only when the wheels were turning right. It sounded like I was dragging an empty plastic soda bottle on the ground.
Brought it into the dealer to get it checked out under warranty and, at first, they thought it was the SC/T hood causing the problem. They removed the whole hood and drove it around the lot and found the front STB to be causing the problem. They re-torqued the crossbar and nuts and the rattle went away.
Having never tuned cars before, I was unaware that the STBs need to be re-torqued every so often. Is this pretty common with the Next Levels?
