Well...i FINALLY finished compounding my car. It has taken me three days to finish the entire car.
The exact stuff I used was 3M Rubbing Compound-Professional Forumula.
I tell you...the paint on my car looks BRAND NEW. This stuff CERTAINLY takes a LOT of work...but when you are done, the car looks like new.
I had to use it to remove the acid-rain spots on my car...ESPECIALLY the hood. I'm talking from an angle in the light, the hood looked like it was covered with volcanic craters the pitting was so bad. After it was done, it looked like it just rolled out the showroom.
Cost: about $6 a bottle...which i still have more than 1/2 bottle left.
I would STRONGLY recommend this stuff to ANYONE that wants to remove light swirls and rain spots.
Now...if I could only find SOMETHING that could polish the acid-rain etched rear glass I'd be good to go......
P.S. I've already tried most of the glass polishes with no luck.
