i had my car in the garage to be serviced the other week and they replaced a gasket in the intake. prior to that i noticed there was fluid dripping from my tailpipe. i thought maybe it was because of the leaking gasket and that this would solve that but i noticed it this morning again. could the gasket be leaking again or is it something entirely different?

... you sure it isn't just condensation?

well that's what i was thinking too but i smelled something from my heater the other day that might have been coolant but i'm not sure.

... it is hard to say, is it clear like water?

didn't really take too close a look at it... i guess i should. i'm gonna be pissed if it is leaking again because i had my brakes replaced the same time they did the gasket and i had to take it back in yesterday because they messed up my brakes. now if i have to take it back in because of this i'm gonna give them a little piece of my mind.

... my GUESS is that it is just water ... have you (or they) done a fair bit of idling lately?

i let my car run for about 10-15 minutes every morning to let it warm up

Remember, I couldn't give you any guarantees but from what you mentioned, it DOES 'sound' like simple condensation ... if it still does it after a LONG DRIVE, let us know :)
