i was just wondering what kinda paint everyone has used to repaint their interior...i just wanna know what kinda paint you used...how long it took to dry....how long you've had it painted and overall what you tihnk about it...
i've talked to some people who say you need a special interior paint cuz normal stuff will start to ripple and crack in like a year or so...but i don't know

Yes they are right. You need a plastic/vinyl paint. I used Duplicolor stuff on my car. Check out my car domain
Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter
Duplicolor TRUCK,VAN& SUV Clear Top Coat
Duplicolo Import auto spray
You take out the parts you want to paint then wash them in Dawn dish soap then sand them very lightly with 800grit sand paper or 600 then you rubbing alch let dry then spray 4 light light coats of the Adhesive promoter primer (will be a dull clear) spray about 10-12 inches away from part. Then let dry tell its dry. Then super light coats of the base color coat tell you have it looking the way you want it then let dry for 1hr then apply 4-8 light coats of the Clear top coat let dry for 1hr then put on.
Remember in between coats gently use a tach cloth on the parts to remove dust.

Very good tips. I plan on painting mine later this year and that seems to cover all the questions i had.

I had a paint place (Arnies Paint in Witchita Falls) can vinyl paint that matched the color code of my car. Washed the pieces, didn't sand, and painted it. All four doors, center console, AC/Heater vents, door switches/electrical switches, door handle inserts, dome light, and fuse covers took 2 cans. Have had it done for a little over a year now, never cleared it, and have had absolutely no problems with it. I let it dry in the summer sun for about 4 hours (every piece I did, I put it outside and let it sit <my wife nearly killed me for doing it inside the small apartment we had there>), rough estimate to completely tear all the pieces out of my car, wash and paint/dry, and re-install 6-7 hours.

If it's a hard rigid plastic you can use almost anything. (It doesn't have to be specialized plastic paint if you prep properly.) If you're wanting to paint soft, pliable plastic I suggest SEM bumper coater.
