ok dont flame me..i know i shouldnt say the word "GAY" but i already used it in my previous thread and this is an update...i changed the alternator and some other things...blah blah blah....400 bucks....whatever.....some problems they couldnt even figure out....but my main concern is....always when i turn on my car for the first min or 2, if its on R or D and my foot is not on the brake or gas pedal, the car wont even move, so if i press on the gas, rpm will go up to like around 3's, and it will go slow as hell...i admit i kinda like the sound of it..cause it sounds realll nice, but it dosent seem right....what could be causing this?

Hey, I'm glad your car is no longer homo... mine is almost straight too... bought it for $2k and it was reallllllyyyy gay so i had to put about $2k into it to get all the problems fixed and now it's almost all good. after i install a horn, my car should be straight :)

when you press on the gas in drive, does it feel and sound like it is half in drive - half in neutral? if it does, thats a problem i had. it was just a stuck valve or something and the mechanic just had to put some stuff in it or something

also that could be the start of a transmission slip i got about 130,000 miles out of my original trans.

I had that problem with my 97gase and it would come and go all the time.It was usually followed by the check engine and ets being off for a few startups

I had a similar problem once. When I would turn at corner at speed I would loose all power and the engine would just rev-up as a coasted through the turn. It was from a leak in the trany pan and the fluid that was left would slosh all to one side when i turned. After refilling the fluid and fixing the leak (the edge of the pan was bent from hitting something) it worked fine.
