I know that you guys are probably getting mad at me for asking so many rim and tire questions. But I think these are legitimate:

1) Will a 205/50 17 give me a ,low profile look, because I saw them on 16's and they looked a little big.
2) What other size tire would give me the look I want but still maintain a close diameter difference.
3) What are your thoughts and opinions on these tires:

1. The only way to get a "lower profile" look without changing the overall diameter is to go with a bigger wheel. If you want a "lower profile" look go with a 18" or 19" wheel.

2. 225/40-18 would be virtually the same diameter as 205/50-17 but it would look "lower profile". 225/35-19 would have an even smaller sidewall and still only has a 0.4" difference in overall diameter.

215/45/17 looks good... not too much tire, although not as extreme as an 18" or bigger wheel with really thin profile.

Look in my gallery link @ the 95 GT if you want to see that particular size on and off the car.

First when purcahsing tires you must know how to read a tire sidewall.

A 205/50R17 means the tire width is 205mm across, the sidewall aspect ratio (basically a precentage of the width in relation to sidewall height) is 50, the 'R' stands for Radial, and the wheel diamter is 17.

When plus sizing tires you want to make sure the overall diameter is the same. The 205/50R17 tire has a overall tire diameter of about 25.1"s. Which is only about .1" off of the average stock tire diameter. So yes you could use them but I think the 215/45R17 would look better.
