T3/T4 Turbo

Ok i was looking around on one of the links under the 2.4L topic area and the one site(forget which one)had turbos and i took a look and they had a universal section so i take a look and they have turbos and i was taking back and didn't know turbos or even superchargers could be universal,so i e-mailed them about it so im waiting on that but was wondering if anyone else knows or can answer me y there can be and would it be fine for my 2.4.

well most if not all turbos/superchargers are universal, its basically just a matter of getting custom piping done

So piping then an intercooler,or are intercoolers manily just for superchargers? Not real up on this part of cars,just learning about the bigger performance mods.

you may want to check out the new www.quad4forums.com I think it was Fbod or fast not sure but one of them posted a big faq for turbos. Hope this helps. An intercooler can be used for a turbo or a ceterfuge superchargers. Theres a few people out there that make 2.4 turbo all of the kit including intercooler. Check them out too.:)

There are different companys that make turbos and turbo housings. But for the most part they are a universal style. But this does not mean someone with a Shelby 2.2 turbo can do a direct swap with a buick GN turbo. Housing size is sometimes different, wastegate size, style and location, pipe work, etc.

Saying a turbo is universal is like saying a cone filter is universal. You can get it to work, but it might take a little fabrication.
