I went with silver. I think blue would have looked the best if i could find an exact match to the body but i couldn't. I got the duplicolor kit. It has a cleaner and a can of paint that you brush on. I had so much that i put four coats on each caliper, 3 coats on each drum and i still have 2/3 the can left. I think i'm going to use it to paint my intake manifold and valve cover. Well here are the pics. http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/5/web/293000-293999/293038_149_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/5/web/293000-293999/293038_150_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/5/web/293000-293999/293038_151_full.jpg

How did you do it? Do you have a link to the kit? I was thinking about doing it when I change out my springs. I think it looks much better than the rusty calipers.

advance auto parts (http://www.partsamerica.com/PartDetails.asp?SourceArea=&SourcePage=SEARCHRESULTS&MfrCode=DPL&MfrPartNumber=BCP403&CategoryCode=3276)
Walmart sells it also. It is in the automotive paint section. $15 either place. I think it looks a lot better than the old rusty look. I would love for it to be a matching blue though.

WD-40 your brake rotors.. They look a little rusty ;) Everyonce in a while Ill WD-40 them through out the day to get the rust off mine

the stuff on the actual smooth part is from the rain. Will wd-40 get off the rust on the edges? It won't hurt anything?

i wouldn't recommend spraying a lubricant anywhere near your brakes :P

That does look good. Depending on how far off the blue was, it might have stood out more than the silver. I think with it being behind the wheel, you'd get away with a slight shade difference.

That surface rust on the rotor is just an annoyance. It goes away after, like, one brake application. I must agree with not WD-40'ing the rotors.:D

the rusty edges doesn't go away. The rotors are less than a year old and the edges are covered in rust. Can you buy rotors that don't rust like that??

Thanks for the advice on the paint. I just did mine when I lowered the car. Check it out! (http://www.cardomain.com/id/redhot97gagt) I'll have to take some closer pics when it stops raining. This site says the rotors don't rust: RI Concepts (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33564&item=7911913576) :)

After seeing that, i might have to change to blue. I know you didn't match the paint but i can't tell.

I just painted my calipers purple my it looks so good! I just had to go to the gm bodyshop and check it out. My calipers just got painted late this afternoon and my car is sitting at the bodyshop right now with no wheels on it. I guess I'm supposed to wait 24 hours before I can drive my car again. I'm finally picking up my car tomorrow I can't wait. I will have pics up once I get back in my hands tomorrow:)

Check out the rotors on ebay. Look for the ones that are zinc plated. It will reduce the rusting on the edges and the hub.

I heard about them on this thread: http://www.grandamgt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38661&highlight=ebay+brake+rotors
Some of the people with them could probably give you more info. I'll be getting them when I get more $$
