Hey whats going on? I just got my new cavalier back in may. It is a cool car and all. I just want to know a little bit more about the eco-tec engine. Can someone tell me about the Sequential fuel system, and how it works. I had a 91 grand am with the 2.5l which had a throttle body with the fuel injector right were you could see. Well were are the on this engine and how many injectors are there. Sorry for this long post. Thanks for any help

Poke around in the other posts in this 2.2 section and you will find out about many of the things particular to this engine.

The 2.2 uses a multi port injection system. That means that there are four fuel injectors, one for each cylinder. The injectors stick out of the fuel rail that is located across the front of the engine up by the valve cover. It has a fuel supply line from the fuel pump in the tank and a return line to the tank.
