Well here is a tip passed to me by my father, that worked out quite well.

My car was damaged by some hail a few weeks ago, nothing too terrible, but a few good dents none the less.

The tip was to get some dry ice and allow the metal to pop itself back into shape.

I was a little hesitant on this solution, but at the cost of dry ice versus taking it in to a shop, decided to try it.

Friday I pcked up a 15 pound back of dry ice, for 15 bucks and some change.

I placed some of the ice, in a plastic bag to easily manouver it where i needed it to be, and to my astonishment after some work with the ice, the majority of the small dents are hardly noticeable and the larger of the dents are alot less than they were.

So theres my tip, try it out for yourself, its not perfect, but its much better than it was :D

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try that. I have a few dents from hail that are kind of annoying.

I heard that it helps to get a blow dryer to heat the surface up a little bit and then to use the dry ice. Try that and see if it doesnt work out whoever else has dents. I have been meaning to do that sometime... I have one slight dent in my hood.

just a side note, dont touch the dry ice with your bare hands. hehe you kinda run into problems if you do ;)

Oh yeah forgot to mention that too. Also if you put dry ice in a 20 pz bottle filled up with water 3/4ths the way and screw on the cap real tight, it will make the dry ice last longer if you want to keep it for a long time. Some type of cancellation thingy

hmm that sounds more like a pressure buildup thing and a blow up thing..
