I have a few questions for the 2.5. How does the 2.5 sound with dual exhaust, and if it does sound good please let me know which exhaust would sould good with it. Does anyone know the redline on the 2.5.

Well dual exhaust sounds really good on a 2.5 compared to the stock sound. I would go with borla or flowmasters also. And I wish I knew what the redline was, but I am going to find out soon so I will keep you posted...lol

pretty sure red line is like 5800, dont quote me though. I dont have a tach.

I don't remember of hand but it is around 5500 or so.


I have the Dual exhaust system (with stock style mufflers) from the 89-91 Se on my 88 2.5. it sounds pretty good, but I would like some more to it. I'm considering 2 Flowmaster 40 Series with 2" or 2 1/2" pipes from the cat back, and possibly a high flow cat. But yeah I'm scared of the sound too.

i have a big fat muffler on my 2.5 grand am. its (obx racing) an its not too loud. an the red line on the 2.5 is 5500 rmp because my car came with a tach meter an it an AUTOMATIC !!!!!
