would a grand am gtp engine fit in a 1997 grand am gt that has a v-6 3.1L engine in it and if so, how hard would it be to change the engines.

just to let you know how many people have asked the most asked question"would it fit" well to answer anything will fit.. but no its not a direct fit so you are able to weld yourself and fabricate yes you can... just means you need to do alot of custom work..

Never heard of a Grand Am GTP engine ? But if you mean Grand Prix GTP , then yeah it will go if you have $$ and like fabrication and have a donor car with computer etc. Plus > Custom halfshafts, engine mounts , exhaust , fuel , cooling sytems , brakes , etc, etc ... ;)

There was won swap into a 93 GA and they company that did it charges about 8 grand plus the motor i think. (no 100% sure on this, so the 8 grand could include the engine)
