I installed Eibachs springs and KYB strut/shocks. The car handles nice, the way it should, but after every bumps they make rattling noise. Everything is tight, and greased. Any ideas?

I had mine done about 3 weeks ago and for the first couple weeks it made some pretty strange noises. Now when I drive it I don't hear anything unless I hit a bump just right and even then the sound isn't nearly as loud. Wait a week and see if it's better.

Did you install new strut bearings ? The old ones may be worn or damaged . Also when you lower your car you'll need an alignment done so your tires don't wear abnormally etc.

Ya I am using stock bearings and mounts. Once my new tires arrive at Sears, they will allign it.

Loose or the car is out of alignment.

Everything is tight. If wheels are not allingned, they can make that rattling noise?

Originally posted by AznGA If wheels are not allingned, they can make that rattling noise? No . It's probably either the spring creaking in it's mount or the strut bearing . If you're sure nothings installed improperly , just give it some time and it may settle in after awhile .

mine are rattling too... and a little bit of creak in front left corner.. new mounts installed too.. everything tight.... I have been told that you should expect noises when you lower your car. It is just a fact of life i guess. It wont hurt anything, just have to get used to it.

Well if the noise doesn't go away, not a big deal. I have my music on all the time anyways. But I can sacrifice that because the handling is truely awesome now.

Might be the sway bar(s) When you lower, you're changeing the angle of where the ends are in relation to the body mount of the sway bars. So you've effectivly twisted those cheap stock rubber bushings on your sway bars. Alot of people overlook that. I'd go w/ greasable urethane & if you still have the noise, you'll have atleast gained some considerable amount of suspension improvement @ minimal cost.:)

It's a JSP touring wing. I'm not sure if they make it anymore. There's alot of structural problems with them. I had to modify mine due to excessive flexing @ the ends. It made the wings crack @ the pedistals.
