Gauge Cluster Needles Not Working?

i just turned on my grand am and the needles dont work, they just didnt move at all. I then restarted a couple times and now they go all the way up. i dunno whats wrong. if anyone does i need help asap please

I really don't know what to tell you except, try unplugging your battery for a few minutes. I'm thinking it could be a computer problem.

Yeah i would say first thing try that then if you get nothing by unhooking battery to try getting the codes read to see if maybe something comes up there.

well fellas i tried unhooking the battery and it didnt work............i got the codes read but nothing came up. anyother ideas?

is the battery good? Alternator putting out?

well im assuming they are good.............the car starts and runs fine, its just that the gauge needles are all messed up. the radio and everything works just not the gauges

If I were you I would call your local dealer's service center and see if they've run into this before.
