Turn off low beams

Does anybody know how to turn off the low beams in a 1997 Grand Am SE. So just the turn single blubs and the fog lights are just on at night?

what kind of switch is your headlights.. is it a knob on the left side of the dash?
my corsica had a knob deal.. if you turn it halfway between off and on the lights would turn off.. had to trick the switch
why do you want to turn of your lights at night?

Fog lights should come on with lights set to just parking lights. Unless you have DRLs and don;t want them on with the fogs.

i donno but in my 94 i have two clicks on the light switch the first is for the parking lights( turn signals and fog lights and rear lights) and the second turns on the head light...............every car i have ever driven has been like this

I know all 99's and up have DRL's, so your lights are on at all times, unless you remove them.

This is how mine is setup on my '96...so his 97 will be the same.

Unless you can disable the DRL's and automatic lights...which I think only few if anyone has done this, you will not be able to do it. The only time you can do it is it you are parked with the e-brake on....

What about removing the DRL relay? I don't have a schematic in front of me, but if I did, I could tell you how to do it.

i been meaning the try and see if the the 99-00 drl and ALC control disable thing would work on a 97 malibu (same as the grand am)
