Haveing recently paid off my car, I am finding I have a little extra cash floating around. My intent is to make my car a little more fun to drive. I have friends in the performance industry so I'm set up when it comes to engine, suspension, brakes, and exaust modifications. I don't, however, know anyone in the body shop industry. Owning a 2001 SE1, I'm aiming to make the car look a little more aggressive. I'm not having much luck finding a nice body kit that isn't "over stated". I like the looks of the GT's. My thought is I could use the body moldings (front facia, rear bumper) from a 4 door GT and "simply" put them on my SE. Has anyone here done this? Is it "simple"? What are some of the complications I may run into if I try to do this? Looking at the two cars side by side it seems easily doable. The Fog lights seem to be in slightly different locations, is this easy to get around?

I guess I'm just looking for Ideas. I figure dropping a few grand into my car to make it fun rather then going out and buying a new one just seems the smartest choice.

If you transplant the gt to the se you should have no issues many many ppl have done this.Do a search on it and you should get quite a few threads :)

The GT facia/bumpers will simply bolt in place of the SE's. Biggest issue appearance-wise is that the ribs on the GT parts won't line up with the body-side ribs on your SE. If you like the look of the GT parts I'd suggest getting the GT rocker panel and door moldings as well. And, if you haven't already, in order for the GT rear bumper to look right you'll need a dual exhaust to fill out the passenger-side exhaust cutout.

Thanks guys. Now all I have to do is find a place other then a GM dealer to buy the GT kit from, they want my first born it seems. Used the search and found a bunch of great info. And yeah Sunrunner, I am having the SLP catback system being installed for exaust.

Thanks again
