You just answered the question...cut them. Expect an exceptionally crappy ride because your springs are whats called variable rate, mean the top of the spring has a softer rate than the bottom.

Don't cut them. Save your money and buy some springs to lower it properly...

Don't cut them, don't heat them, don't use spring clips. Save up your money and buy some quality shit. It's obvious that your tuning skills are minimal at best- if you want a "showcar" stop ghetto rigging all the shit on your car!

Agreed, don't cut! I have personally seen the poor outcome of cut springs on a 92-95.
-the car had "rice bounce" badly
-1 spring snapped while driving
-rear springs would literally fall out every time the car was put on a lift
-the lower braket (that holds the spring) eventually bent far enough to carve a 1/2" deep grove in the front tire.
-car didn't pass inspection
The damage he did to his car cost 4x times (or more) what properly lower it would have.
If you can't afford $200 for springs, don't lower it.

I have seen a few of your threads here and there and I just want to give you a little head's up. I understand that you want to build a car to your style and standards... but it TAKES MONEY. You can ask the other people on these boards, I have had hopes and dreams for Angel for almost three years (although I have only been a member of GAOC for a year... I was a member of GMPowerTalk back in the day). I have just now gotten to a point where I can start putting Angel together. Don't cheat yourself out of quality stuff.... take the time to save the money and do it the right way.
Alrite... I'm off my soapbox now... carry on :D
EDIT - I don't want to come across as a *****, but I am just trying to let you know that things don't always come as quickly as you want them to. I just don't want you to make the mistake of trying to take the cheap way out and not doing it right the first time. If you try to get around doing it the right way... you will suffer ultimate concequences in the end. :)

I agree with that. Save up the money and do it the right way the first time. Other wise you will look back and realize that you wased a ton of money by doing it the cheaper way first.
