I did this the day after Hurricane Charley hit, waiting for the power to come back on....what else could I do but fumble with the GA? :)

are you gonna put some graphics on that baby? what are your future plans, i think it would look awesome with AAS body kit, with no spoiler that kit looks great.

nice car :)

another of the rear, and my gt third brake light. I was not happy with the vinyl overlay that I had bought, so i stenciled GT on it and painted:

and another of the side badging removed:

And here is the arrowhead. Again, I was not happy with the quality of the vinyl overlay, so I decided to paint the red part in black, leaving the original chrome border, I think it came out great:

Did some very "subtle" painting on the interior. Not sure if you can tell in the pics, but it is a metal-flake black, I think it adds that nice extra touch to the tan interior:

nice car :)

I am not a fan of graphics. Thought about it a few times but decided that I like the "clean" look much better. Same goes for body kits. With the $$$ I would spend on the body kit and everything involved with it, I would much rather get a few more toys under the hood. Even with that thought, she is my daily driver, so I am really undecided. For now I have the Doctorspeed WAI and a custom exhaust, I am happy. :)

BleakGT, I have to agree with you. A clean car with smooth line and crisp, clean looks says more than a sticker kit or body kit.

Keep up the good work. Oh, BTW I really like the lack of a spoiler.

That looks very good. What type of paint did you use to paint the Arrowhead up front?

I used plain ol' Duplicolor black - three light coats, then three light coats of Krylon Clear Coat. The trickiest part was taping off the star in the middle of the arrowhead, you have to be really patient.

Cool i might have to try that cause i have the overlay and would like something a little more professional looking on my GA.

Well I know that on the 96-98 GA's, the arrowhead is a little different than the 99+ GA's. Mine is "raised" or "Textured" whereas yours is all underneath some sort of plastic cover. But you could buy a 99+ arrowhead at your local dealer for around 10 bucks, it would fit. I know this because my BF has a 97 GT and we fit mine on his no problem. Hope that makes sense. Go outside and look at yours and you will see what I am trying to explain :)

i like it. i think it looks sweet. i like mine with the overlays i think. my one day i will decide to shave them off but thats then. For now I think your car looks a lot better without the badges. keep the car clean too! it looks slick without all the vinyl stickers. maybe if someone keys the crap out of your car side (knock on wood) then it would be okay, but for now it looks great.

BleakGT,

I really like the lack of spoiler. Shaving the badges is the easiest and cheapest mod that produces great results. (As I have done it myself http://www3.telus.net/public/marking/)

I also agree with keeping the lines and integrity of the car by not using grafics. (Please disregard the shameless Jumpman plug on the driver's side) Looks great. Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks, everyone!

I think that does it for my appearance modifications for now. I am still in the process of converting all red lighting to blue, just very lazy these days, and lack of time. I think any signifigant money will be going towards more perf. stuff. :)
