Ok i have this Chilton repair manual, and I wanna do a compression test. Well one of the steps is "disable ignition system." I have a quad ohc, and this manual talks alot about IDI and HEI or something but doesnt tell me how the hell to disable it!

Well last night around 9 o'clock I was checking the vacuum on my car, I put it in drive with the e-brake on and got out and left the door open. While I was checking the vacuum, the door closed with the car in drive and the e-brake on, engine still running. so when i went to open the door, the damn automatic locking doors locked me out! After cussing and throwing a wrench, I disconnected the wiring harness to the HEI, and the car died, but still was on and in drive. Next I took off the min wiring harness and jumped two wires that made the doors unlock(I knew how to do this from trying to install the stereo) So I guess I got lucky! Kind of a bad situation if you don't have much automotive knowlege!(especialy since a coat hanger can't unlock these doors!)

Just a funny story.

Use some restore in your car, it really works! It helps bring compression back to normal.

Do you know how this product works and what it does?

It is very bad for your car, stay away from it if you cherish your car.
