You know I'm not to sure what the increase is with the cams from RSM. What I've heard is that you should get about a 10% gain with the secret cam swap. There is also the Mantrapart that has a performance cams also. I would say the secret would be the cheapest if you can find the intake cam. the Mantrapart would be the second cheapest, heard that there slow on there orders. then the rsm would be the third cheapest(or most expensive). No dyno results, but should have a good gain.

The secret cam swap is almost exactly the same specs as the mild mantapart cams. A little bit different, but now you have a good idea on how mantapart came up with their own cams. I bet they were doing the cam swap back in the day too.

If you want the most gains along w/ bang for the buck, hunt your junkyards for teh secret cams, or go to autozone, pepboys, dealerships and see if they can get them for you.

How would the secret cams work on an automatic GA?

the cams have nothing to do w/ the transmission.

Yeah but they up the upper RPM power and you will lose some lower RPM torgue. So i was wondering how that would affect the car since it is an automatic. I might be wrong but just wondering.

yeh but the cams aren't exactly hardcore cams. They just bump things up a couple hundred rpm. They don't exactly kill your low end man. They're no Crower Stage 3 B series cams for a honda.

RSM claims to be able to get 15-18hp out of their cams. but like said, they not that cheap.

claims are claims... no dynos of a particular car w/ and w/o are shown so b/s on their claims. They must do some good obviously, BUT claims are for companies of the APC, MATRIX, and ebay nature.

Cool deal. I might have to check into the secret cam swap.

http://www.jbodyperformance.com/3rdvalvetrainN.html These are claimed to add 13hp

I also made a post on jbody, and word is that the dyno chart for the RSM cams will be posted some time soon, so ill get back to you on that, but yea they claim 18hp. From what i understand they are basicly, or close to HO cams. You get the cams with the carriers and something else (drawing a blank) and i would guess the SCS is good for 10hp maybe.

b16 is the engine code for the 1.9 Dohc Vtech engines found in civic si's if I'm am correct. And no they will not work on your car... unless you did a swap ofcoarse.

b17 = 1.7L only found in old integras
b18 = 1.8L only found in integras
b20 = 2.0L only found in that CRV I think.. whatever it's a sport ute thing mini van thing.

torque?

CRVtec hybrid... b20 bottom, b16top...

Integra GSR will still take out a Grand Am stock for stock.

and how much does that GSR weigh? thats usually what the hondas have for them since they got less torgue then most cars have on their lugnuts. they rev like crazy (which i personaly dont like) and have like 125lbs-ft for 200hp, in some cases. 8k red line and max hp is at like 7800rpm or so.

less than the weight of a grand am... and here's an interesting note. numbers on paper are numbers on paper.

try driving them, they happen to be quite peppy, and that lack of torque I tend to forget about when behind the wheel of my buddy's Geezer.

interesting side note..

OBD-1 Integra GSR's are faster than OBD-2 GSR models... emission restrictions kills.

i've never driven one my self, so i wouldnt know. i just know the paper and never did like the the way it sounds on paper with 200hp and 125lb-ft.
